Improve iCyst app user experience;
Update the app in the light of users’ experience;
Improve evidence about the application of guidelines on pancreatic cystic neoplasms in clinical practice;
WHY DOES UNIVERSITY OF VERONA NEED TO COLLECT AND STORE PERSONAL DATA?
Personal data such as email and work position, will be collected to provide service and improve membership experience. Provided informations will be used for this purpose only and will not constitute an invasion of your privacy.
WILL UNIVERSITY OF VERONA SHARE MY PERSONAL DATA WITH ANYONE ELSE?
Personal data can be sent to third-party service providers linked to University of Verona. Third parties are obliged to keep your details securely.
HOW WILL UNIVERSITY OF VERONA USE MY PERSONAL DATA?
University of Verona will process (collect, store and use) the information you provide following the EU’s GDPR. We will endeavor to keep your information accurate and up to date. University of Verona will collect and store users’ Personal Data only as long as needed. Personal Data might be kept for a longer period of time only if needed for University of Verona study purposes.
HOW SAVED DATA IN THE APPLICATION WILL BE USED BY UNIVERSITY OF VERONA?
All data are anonymous, will not be sold to third parties. Personal Data will only be used for statistical reasons and to improve the feature set of the application. In addition, we may publish insight of interest to the medical community gained from this data on websites or scholarly journals.
COOKIES
We use a third-party advertising company, eHealthcare Solutions, who uses cookies to serve ads on our site linked to the app iCyst (http://www.chirurgiapancreasverona.it/). Their use of cookies enables them to serve more relevant ads to our users based on their visit to our sites and other sites on the Internet.
A second third-party, TrendMD, to provide article recommendations based on the topics covered in the article that the visitor is currently reading. TrendMD recommendations widget is installed on University of Verona website by including code. When a visitor accesses an article, the widget loads a number of recommendations, based on the similarity or close association of the article topics.
In order to improve recommendations quality, TrendMD collects some visitor information (usually generic) and a number of changes have been implemented in order to ensure that all data collection and processing is GDPR-compliant.
UNDER WHAT CIRCUMSTANCES WILL UNIVERSITY OF VERONA CONTACT ME?
University of Verona will use your personal information to contact you to provide member benefits, customize communication, informative emails for events and others.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The GDPR Owner is responsible for ensuring that this notice is made available to data subjects prior to University of Verona collecting/processing their personal data.
All Employees/Staff of University of Verona who interact with data subjects are responsible for ensuring that this notice is drawn to the data subject’s attention and their consent to the processing of their data is secured.
CONSENT
By reading this privacy notice, you are giving the permission to the University of Verona to process your personal data specifically for the purposes identified.
DISCLOSURE
University of Verona will receive data from third parties and pass on your personal data to third parties without first obtaining your consent.
RETENTION PERIOD
University of Verona will retain personal data for as long as is necessary to provide services.

COMPLAINTS
In the event that you wish to make a complaint about how your personal data is being processed by University of Verona (or third parties as described above), or how your complaint has been handled, you have the right to lodge a complaint directly with the supervisory authority and University of Verona’s GDPR Owner.

The use of iCyst application is not a medical consultation and does not replace the physician evaluation;
The University of Verona is not responsible for correctness of data entered by its users;
Users guarantee and respond, in any event, civil and criminal, of the veracity, accuracy and authenticity of data registered;
